Exercise! Who has time for that?

Health-a-Thon Day#2

Exercise! Who has time for that?

This thing call exercise really does improve your health, sex life, physique, strength, energy, mood, it reduces stress, helps you to live longer, and it even boost your brainpower. Despite all of these benefits, many of us still think of exercise as a chore. However, exercising can be fun and exciting. It takes some getting used to  but you have to start somewhere. Why not start today?

Walking is one of the simplest ways to get started. Finding a buddy to walk with can make it easier. You can do this almost anywhere; the park, at work, the mall, empty parking lots (please do not trespass), indoor tracks, treadmills, and even walking in place. Do it safely by wearing comfortable clothing and the proper footwear.

Walking or any other exercise should be done with caution. Know your fitness level, go at your own pace. You can start off slow and build up to longer times and increase intensity. Always check with your doctor before starting any exercise program.

As you build exercising into your daily routines, you should always look for ways to include other activities in your program such as weight lifting. Be sure to lift weights properly. Building muscles and strength does not require you to lift heavy weights. This can be achieved by lifting lighter weights. The secret is to lift the light weights until you can no longer lift them (muscle fatigue).

Forget the go-big-or-go-home philosophy, if you can't workout for 30 to 60 minutes a day, so what? Work out for as long as you can and do more tomorrow. It's that simple and it all counts. If you work out too hard, you risk injuring yourself or just plain burning out, both of which can put an end to your exercise program.

No matter your workout type, intensity, and duration, you have to perform it regularly to see results. And the better you are at a workout or activity, whether it’s shaking your hips to Zumba,
Hip-Hop dancing, swimming, basketball, martial arts, aerobics, —the more often you’ll do it.

can be achieved by using lighter weights. The secret is to pump iron until you reach muscle fatigue.
